# How to Participate in a Token Sale?

### Step 1: Select a Project and Pool

* Next to the "My Account", click on the "[Token Sales](https://magicsquare.io/launchpad/token-sales)".
* Navigate to the "Active Sales" section and choose the desired sale.

### How to Participate in a Pro-Rata Round? (Public Pool)

* Choose the Public Pool by clicking on "Participate now."

### Step 2.1: Prepare The Wallet&#x20;

* **Note:** Ensure the wallet contains the desired amount to deposit in $USDT (BEP20) and $BNB to cover transaction fees.

### Step 3.1: Participate in the Sale

* Enter the amount of USDT to deposit.
* Select whether to enable Turbo Charge. (What is Turbo Charge? [Click here](/magic-launchpad/for-users/key-features-on-the-magic-launchpad.md#turbo-charge-feature) to learn more.)
* Click the "Deposit" button, approve the spending cap in the designated wallet, and confirm the transaction.
* After approval, a pop-up will confirm the successful deposit.

### How to Participate in the FCFS Round?

* Choose the Public Pool by clicking on "Participate now."

### Step 2.2: Prepare the Wallet and SQRp Balance

* **Note:** Ensure the wallet contains the intended deposit amount in $USDT (BEP20) and sufficient $BNB to cover transaction fees.
* **Note:** SQRp Points are only mandatory in the SQRp pools. Learn more about SQRp Points [here](/magic-launchpad/for-users/key-features-on-the-magic-launchpad.md#sqrp-points-and-their-utility).

### Step 3.2: Participate in the Sale

* Enter the amount of USDT to deposit.
* Click the "Burn SQRp and Deposit" button, approve the spending cap in the designated wallet, and confirm the transaction.
* After approval, a pop-up will confirm the successful deposit.

### Step 4: Claim Tokens

* After the sale, a snapshot determines the eligible investors.
* **Note:** Wait for the Token Generation Event (TGE), after which tokens are distributed based on the vesting conditions outlined on each project page.
* **There are two methods of token distribution:**
  * **Airdrop:** Tokens are automatically sent to the user’s wallet by either Magic Square or the project conducting the sale.
  * **Manual Claim:** Users can claim their tokens directly through the [Magic Launchpad Dashboard](https://magicsquare.io/launchpad/portfolio) under "Claimable Participations."
