This requirement is in place to uphold the integrity of the platform and ensure that rewards are distributed exclusively to genuine, verified users, thereby preventing bots from accessing these incentives.
Claiming Rewards: To claim the accumulated SQR rewards from collected Karma, it is mandatory to have a Gitcoin Passport with a minimum of 18 points connected to your MagicID OR to pass the Amazon Liveness Test.
Points on Gitcoin are essentially the score of your Passport. The more Stamps you collect, the higher your score. This score is displayed in the upper right corner of the Gitcoin Passport app and represents the strength of your identity verification.
Liveness Verification is 100% FREE and you can complete it in 3 minutes.
Navigate to the Human Verification section.
Click on the "Verify" button under the "Liveness Verification".
Enable your Camera Access.
Get closer to the camera, scan your face, and that's it, you're good to go!
Note: Your Gitcoin score will reset every 30 days. If you have expired Gitcoin stamps, you will not be able to keep your score, and it will be lowered on the Magic Store's side. You will need to re-validate your stamps once a month.
Make sure to connect a wallet to your account. Ensure you use the same wallet on Gitcoin and the Magic Store. Mismatched wallets may result in an inaccurate, potentially lower, Gitcoin passport scoreâ
Navigate to the Human Verification section.
Click on the "Verify" button under the Gitcoin Passport. Then click on the "Get Gitcoin Passport" button.
Click on the "Sign-In with Ethereum" button.
Sign in with the same wallet you are using on the Magic Store.
Once you are signed in, you will be greeted by some information cards that you can read and click through to learn about the foundational concepts of Gitcoin Passport.
The third card describes the one-click option for web3 Stamps. Choosing this option will trigger a pop-up showing the web3 Stamps in your Passport. These are Stamps that can be verified by querying the blockchain, rather than relying on authorization tokens from an off-chain service.
Clicking âConfirm Stampsâ checks that all your web3 Stamps are still valid. You may also want to refresh your non-web3 Stamps. You can do this on the next screen by clicking each Stamp.
Now you are ready to migrate your Stamps on-chain! In the upper right of the app, you will see a button with a chain symbol.
Clicking this button will start the Stamp migration. You need to make sure you are connected to the chain you want to migrate onto. The chain can be selected in a dropdown menu to the right of your Ethereum address in the upper right of the app.
Your wallet will pop up a request to sign a transaction. This will incur a gas fee and Gitcoin fee ($2) so you will need to have a sufficient amount of your chosen chain's gas token to complete the transaction.
Once you sign, the transaction will execute and your Stamps will be available on-chain. A success pop-up will appear, offering you the option to check your Stamps. Clicking this will redirect you to the Ethereum Attestation Service explorer, where you will see an attestation for each of your verified Stamps. This confirms that your Stamps exist on the blockchain!
Add as many stamps as you can to reach the minimum score of 18.
Once you have collected your stamps on Gitcoin (minimum 18 points on Gitcoin), head back to your Magic Store profile and click on "Verify" to sync your Gitcoin Passport score with your MagicID. If your score is less than 18, you will be asked to âIncrease your scoreâ.
Note: Your Gitcoin score will reset every 30 days. If you have expired Gitcoin stamps, you will not be able to keep your score, and it will be lowered on the Magic Store's side. You will need to re-validate your stamps once a month.
If you are struggling to reach 18 points on Gitcoin, we have a solution for you!
Choose between two stamps:
CIVIC (Uniqueness Pass)
Holonyum
Complete the verification process
Note: Although it displays only 5-6 points on Gitcoin, they will be counted as a full 18 points upon verification in your Magic Store account.
Simplicity and Efficiency: This updated approach simplifies the process of reaching 18 points, improving accessibility.
Improved Verification: Both stamps offer solid verification of identity, maintaining the integrity of our rewards system.
For some members, their Gitcoin passport score may not match their MagicID score. This isn't a bug. It happens when people use the same "stamp" (like a validation mark) for different wallets. This is a feature with Gitcoin and we've only implemented their API into our Magic Store. To avoid this situation, use the same wallet for all your stamps on both our platform and Gitcoin. If you're facing this, refresh your stamps, reconnect your wallet, and click the "Verify" button on the Magic Store.
You can also try disconnecting and then reconnecting your wallet to both Gitcoin passport and all stamps. After that, verify your Gitcoin passport on the Magic Store. If the score is still the same, disconnect and reconnect your wallet to your Magic Store account.
