# Project Validation Guide

As part of our role as Magic Store Team and Magic Store Community, we review all apps submitted to the Store thoroughly to ensure a safe and trusted experience for all users and offer developers the best chance to succeed. To make the review process go as smoothly as possible, follow the guidelines and resources while preparing to apply for your app to be listed on the Magic Store.

### Why should you get validated on the Magic Store?

Every project that is listed on the Magic Store has a certain status. Depending on the development phase of the project, it can be Validated or Upcoming. Once the Upcoming projects reach their launch date, they also undergo a Validation process. [More about statuses](/magic-store/for-project-owners-developers/unverified-apps.md).

During the Validation Process of 14 days, the Magic Store Community votes for the projects to get listed. The projects get **attention** from the community through the voting itself and marketing **announcements,** free of charge.

Validated projects appear on all pages: Discover, Apps, and Games, while upcoming projects only appear in the Upcoming section. This means that Validated projects have the most **exposure** on the Magic Store.

Validated projects may also be randomly selected for a banner on the Magic Store. These banners are updated every 1-2 months.

As a Validated project, it is possible to create customized Campaigns in our [Hot Offers](/magic-store/for-users/hot-offers.md) section.

### Preparing for validation

Prepare your submission for review by familiarizing yourself with the submission guidelines and information you will need to include. Ensure your application is eligible for submission before moving forward.

Above you can see the full Project Validation Process. Below are the steps explained in detail:

### 1. Generate Magic ID

[**App Developers** ](/magic-store/for-project-owners-developers/set-up-the-developer-account-and-list-your-project.md)are individuals or teams of professionals who design, code, and build applications (apps) and list them on the store. In order to become a Developer in the Magic Store, users should generate their [Magic ID ](/magic-store/for-users/set-up-your-magic-id.md)followed by registering as a Developer.

A Magic ID is generated only by connecting a Phantom or a Metamask wallet to the Magic Store.

Magic Store - Sign In

After completing the signature request within the wallet, it will be requested to complete the Magic ID Account Settings, by entering a username, displayed name and verifying an email address.

Once done, your unique **Magic ID** is created!

### 2. Register as a Developer

Once your Magic ID is set up, the next step is setting up your [Developer](/magic-store/for-project-owners-developers/set-up-the-developer-account-and-list-your-project.md) Profile. In order to do that, click on the Developers “Apply” button in the menu to the left.

### 3. App Listing Process

Once you have completed setting up your Developer Profile, you are eligible to proceed to the App Listing Process. In order to start the Listing Process, click on Developers -> List App. The listing process consists of 6 steps. Keep in mind that you can’t skip steps, but should complete one-by-one. In case you need additional information about the fields in the listing process, please check out the [List App - Step-by-step Guide](broken://pages/gjXgd7UwsUF2VnOvturj).

### 4. Internal Confirmation Process

After successfully populating the Listing Form and submitting your app, your app will be in the “**pre-approval**” status. It takes a few days to proceed to the Validation Process. The **Internal** **Confirmation Process** is conducted by the Magic Square team and there are three possible outcomes:

* **Approval**: In case you populated all of the fields accurately and professionally, according to the instructions, your app will pass the Confirmation process and then proceed to the **Validation Process**.
* **Rejection**: If your app doesn’t align with the Magic Store Validation Guidelines, it will be immediately rejected and you will be informed about it in the associated Telegram group and through the email address provided during the listing process.
* **Correction**: The form that you have populated is reviewed and all fields are carefully checked. If there is any need for corrections or additional information, you will be contacted by the Magic Square team in the associated Telegram group with all provided details.

### 5. Validation Process

All apps that pass the Internal Confirmation Process appear in the Validation Section and go through the **Validation Process**. To vote, users must have completed Magic ID profile. The Validation Process lasts for 2 weeks (14 days). An app must receive 60% positive votes to pass the Validation Process. If the app fails, the app developers can re-apply an unlimited number of times. If the app receives more than 60% positive votes, it will be listed in the Validated Section. The entire Validation Process is publicly visible to all members of the Magic Store.

### 6. Upcoming Section

**Upcoming** is a section designed for any apps that are in beta, testing, or development phases. In case your app is “under development” and you have selected that field in the Listing Form, it will be listed in the [Upcoming Section](https://magicsquare.io/store/upcoming). You will be notified about the listing, in the associated Telegram group, and the marketing activities that follow.

### 7. Validated Section

Your application will appear in the Discover page on the “Recently Validated” block once it has passed the Validation Process. Your app will appear in other relevant blocks on the **Discover**, **Apps** and **Games** pages based on the category and popularity of your app in Store. Please contact us through the Telegram group if you are interested in being featured in one of the banners on the Store.

If your App Listing application is successful, you can expect an official message in the associated Telegram group with further details and coordination on marketing and other necessary steps that follow.

App developers can enjoy the advantages of Magic Boost and Hot Offers. If you have any enquiries, please contact the Magic Square Team in the corresponding Telegram group.

## Application Status

App listing applications will take a few business days to process. If you need a prompt review, please contact the Magic Square team via the associated Telegram group. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be notified through the associated Telegram group.

## Avoid Common Issues

The most common issues during the listing process are:

* Application screenshots - In order to present your apps in the most effective way, you are encouraged to take screenshots that showcase its features and functionality, not just its title art or login screen. You can include text or image overlays within these shots, which will help potential customers understand what they're getting before downloading it. The screenshots must be **landscape**, **JPG** or **PNG** format and larger than **1400x642**.
* Token Information - please list your token only if it is live and tradable (listed on an exchange). If a token is not listed, it will be removed from your profile.
